I don't even know what my brain was doing with this but it wanted to get the idea out and wouldn't focus on anything else until I had. I know where it's going but in the great scheme of wips coming out of my ears and work very inconsiderately not allowing me to spend all day writing fic at my desk, who knows when there'll be more. In the meantime, dumping it here in the wip graveyard until I win the lottery and can spend all day, every day, finishing every daft idea that comes into my head.

Other characters: Mardy Fish, Tommy Haas, Serena Williams, later Mischa Zverev, Sascha Zverev, probably half the tennis tour. Multiple OCs (all dragons)
Summary: A’dy has no idea how he’d come out of utter disgrace with an assignment to fly in Wimbledon’s second wing for a season, but that doesn't mean he has to be polite to his new wingleader. Unfortunately, his dragon likes R'ger way more than he does.

all the bad boys, wip, vampire!verse, rating: M

I am writing way too many things at once and it isn't working. The vampire!verse sequel needs mad amounts of editing and is only halfway done at 17k, the sequel to syntax is somehow planned out at at least 20k, and at least four other wips keep spilling over into what I'm trying to focus on. I feel like a cat chasing a fly in all directions and never catching it. I'm putting my foot down.

So. Internet. Have the rough draft of the first 17k of vampire!verse sequel so I can bump it down my attention list until syntax 2 (currently named the legacy of the romantic poets) is done. I posted the original vampire!verse half-finished and left it for eight years but it worked. Hopefully this one isn't eight years in development hell. Part of me wants to rewrite the entire thing from Sascha's POV but the entire rest of vampire!verse including the two unwritten middle bits are all from Andy's and honestly, I don't know if that's the problem. Maybe the whole thing just doesn't work, idk. Usually I know what a fic needs to shape like and the general outline stays the same but this whole thing feels - off.

It needs so much editing anyway; bear that in mind. This is why first drafts are a thing.

By request, posting what I have so far of the Novak Goes to Jail fic (I pretty much have the overview plan for this down but I can't find a title, go figure).

This er, isn't a happy fic? As in, I was writing it as a distraction from my block on evening and I made myself so sad, I wrote 15k of ridiculous wingfic to cheer myself up. It's hard to tag when it's very much a rough wip and only a small part of it, but it'll get worse before it gets better so maybe don't sign in to read the whole thing if you don't like a generous scoop of angst with your hurt/comfort. This first part is pretty tame though, no warnings necessary.

Hey so remember how I was all 'everything will be public over here on Dreamwidth!' in that intro post? I've only just now realised that DW imported all the posts with the default LJ privacy settings, which were friends only from way back when. As a result I've spent a gloriously dull twenty minutes or so going through and changing the settings, realising that baby!me was a terrible tagger and trying to rectify my past mistakes, and realising on top of that how disorganised everything posted to clofic on LJ actually was. Really; if for any reason you want to read my old fic, there's a neat index over on Insanejournal that's got you covered.

As for now, here, snippets! I'm currently procrastinating by writing a new fic, which is procrastination from the slightly older new fic, that was procrastination from before you come to evening chapter 4. This much distraction is a full time job y'all, so to keep up the pretense that I'm actually getting somewhere there'll be a rush of WiP snippets posted here - now? Every week? When there's a second blue moon in a month and Mercury is in retrograde? Anything is possible; I'm winging this (that made me laugh, for reasons that will be mysterious unless you read one of the snippets).

They'll be separately posted and tagged (correctly, because I am no longer the heathen that my younger self was) so snippets of the same fic can be sorted by tags for ease, and snippets can be sorted from finished fic (which will be all over on AO3 anyway).

This post is in itself procrastination from the two things I'm already procrastinating with from the actual thing. This is procrastination cubed. Amazing.
